Summary
Nagi stands alone on the concrete path. His hands are tucked into the pockets of a black jacket with the hood pulled up. It’s unzipped, underneath is a familiar set of sweats, a pair Reo knows Nagi always wears to bed. All but half is pale grey. The other half, almost the entire shirt, spots on his legs, Reo can only imagine the sleeves- the other half is soaked in blood.
His heart drops.
The door falls from Reo’s grip, slamming behind him. He holds Nagi’s shoulders as his eyes dart around, searching for injuries. “What happened!? Are you okay, treasure!?”
“Yeah.” Nagi gives half a nod, gaze bleary, “it’s not mine…”
Or:
As the Mikage heir, Reo is used to stalkers and ill intentioned individuals. What he’s not used to is watching them drop like flies.
He can’t say that he minds.

Summary
“Reooo.” Nagi called again, “pet my head.” Reo chuckled, how could he forget? He burrowed his fingers into Nagi’s messy white mop, just as requested, Nagi happily leaning into the touch.
“Reooo.” Nagi called one more time, Reo hummed in response, as he awaited his next request. There wasn’t a single one he wouldn’t fulfil for his treasure.
“Kiss me, Reo.”Reo blinked.
Reo blinked twice.
He stared at the barely illuminated ceiling, lights from the city below nothing but a thin line drawn between the curtains, eyes heavy and burning.
That dream again.
Or:
Reo stays silent in favour of Nagi’s comfort. Nagi stays silent because he’s Nagi. Surely nothing can go wrong! And especially not the kind of wrong that leads to crumbling dreams and bizarre nightmares, right?

Summary
“That’s not what I asked, Seishiro-sama.” She brings a hand that was resting behind her back to her chest, “what would Young Master Reo think? If his partner were a no show at one of the most important events of his life?”
“But…” Nagi’s eyebrows furrow. The grip on his sleeve tightens as his voice trembles, much like his bottom lip, “but I’m not his partner anymore, am I? I don’t belong in that world anymore. He showed it to me and I failed. He hasn’t smiled or called me his treasure in so long-“
She breathes through her nose as she slows her words, her smile unwavering, “I didn’t ask what you think you deserve, or where you think you should belong. I asked what you wanted.”
His eyes widen, making contact with the glint in hers.
Or:
After losing everything he loved, all Nagi can feel is misery. Ba-Ya shows up to save the day. (Prequel to Part 1 in this series)

Summary
“Hey, Reo. There’s something I wanna tell you.” He reaches out his hand. Reo hesitates before reaching back. His palm faces the ground behind the shield of his fingers. Nagi takes him by the wrist, despite his barely outstretched arm.
“Meeting you and becoming your partner… I wouldn’t trade that for anything.” He says, “and I’m not giving up.”
Reo blinks up at him. His shoulder begins to relax, allowing his arm to be pulled closer, “…On soccer?”
Nagi nods. “Not just that, though. You too.”
Or:
In a brief reunion, Nagi has something he wants to tell Reo.

Summary
“Why do you want to know?”
“Because you never told me,” Nagi murmurs, pushing his head against Reo’s palm. “I wanna know more about Reo. That’s why… I thought knowing that would be good. I wanna know all of your secrets.”
“All of my secrets?” Reo huffs, half fond and half wistful. “You’re a greedy one, aren’t you?”
“I gave Reo my everything. You can give me a few secrets, can’t you?”
Or: Nagi doesn’t understand why his prince is so secretive with him, his personal knight.
Reo wonders how many more times he’s going to have to die.
