"Didn't know you were into that," Jade says, finally turning to face her unwanted companion. Tori has always had a gravitational pull of her own and Jade can feel herself getting sucked in, easily falling into their usual back and forth.
"Yeah? You know a lot about what I'm into?" She has the audacity to smirk, the asshole.
"Just seems your tastes have finally strayed from other people's boyfriends." Jade knows she's being annoying. It's been nine long years since that disastrous time in high school together. They'd all been stupid teenagers who didn't know what they wanted. Jade just loves beating a dead horse, especially at the other girl's expense. Tori is immediately exasperated, and she can hear her say "I didn't even like him like that!" over her own laughter. It dies out when she notices the too-soft look Tori is giving her. It has her immediately pushing away from the bar, exclaiming, "Come on, Vega. They'll never forgive me if I keep you to myself."
"I wouldn't mind that."

Jade and Tori finally realise why they couldn't leave each other alone back in high school.
