Summary
This is a post The Enterprise Incident (TOS) episode fic. Spock is left troubled by his actions with the Romulian Commander and takes the time to process what happened, leading to a realization.
Quick summary of The Enterprise Incident:
Kirk orders the USS to enter the neutral zone. They are soon surrounded by Romulian starships. To try to sort the situation out, they are beamed on the main Romulian starship, where they meet the Romulian Commander. While Kirk is sent to jail on the starship, the Romulian Commander gets interested in Spock, and proposes a dinner. To try to buy some time, Spock flirts back and they end up by kissing in the Vulcan manner for a moment. At the end of the episode, the Commander realizes it was all a scheme and feels used. Spock reassures her that it was not just "pretend" and that it had not been his intention when beaming on their ship (the plan was to get their cloaking device). -

"I know," Castiel murmurs, still just smiling a little, not looking heartbroken at all. "Don't worry about it, Dean, that's all I ask."
"So we're—" Dean risks a glance up, swallowing thickly. "We're good?"
