Summary
Chuck honestly had no idea how easy it is to fall in love with one of your neighbours until it's already happening. Raleigh from flat 314 is far too kind, far too genuine, and far too attractive for his own good, and Chuck can't help being drawn to him. He can't help falling in love.
Which doesn't seem like that big of a deal, until Raleigh's girlfriend makes an appearance. Then it becomes a whole different story and Chuck pretends that it doesn't break his heart, one tiny sliver at a time, to watch Raleigh and Mako be happy together. But really, he's not fooling anyone. Chuck's life officially sucks.

Raleigh is 26, left the military for construction work after he was injured, grows his hair out, is covered in tattoos, and rides a motorcycle as his main mode of transportation.
One day, Chuck is going to get bored with him, isn't he? Raleigh should just end it now. For Chuck, he's just a phase. For Raleigh, Chuck is everything.

The truth is, he sustained an injury causing memory loss, and is completely missing 6 months of his life.
Raleigh figures things could be worse, he's told his memories will come back eventually, but what's strange is Chuck Hansen's behavior and the way everyone seems to expect the two of them to be attached at the hip.

While inconvenient, this wouldn't be too bad, except Chuck Hansen has suddenly decided he's allergic to clothes. Which means that the evidence from his and Raleigh's escapades are on view for the entire Shatterdome to see.
Raleigh is embarrassed by it, but he also can't help his mind from wandering when he sees the very public claim he has on Chuck...
