Vio did not have the best relationship with sleep. It wasn’t quite clear when it started, and somehow, Vio thought that it may have always been this way for him. He couldn’t remember many nights where sleep came easy, or where he was tired enough to rest for more than a few hours uninterrupted. During the adventure, it was fine to sleep only a couple of hours a night—expected, even, with how hectic their days had been.
But now, months after Vaati and Ganon’s defeat… Vio was still unable to rest.

The most well-written LoZ fic I’ve ever read.. the detail in describing the contrasting perspectives of the four colors, the different dynamics in the group, how guilt eats at the soul and requires an understanding friend and quiet moment to deter it, the utter frustration at the concussion and being labeled incompetent and unable to help- each of these spoke to me immensely. It speaks about how one must allow themself to be seen by another to help with guilt and self-worth issues, how peace and harmony can be found within the self again once you trust and choose to heal. Read again. Chapter 7 is what makes it truly speak to me.

Summary
It was an unspoken rule within the group (or maybe it was just their collective instincts that agreed) that the older ones are to look after the younger, and while Legend isn’t older than Wild but by a year, the rule still stood, in the vet’s mind. Would they blame him for getting them both killed? Would they regret sending Legend out with Wild to go patrol before the Shift happened? Would they regret bringing Legend along to begin with, after he got one of their members crushed to death?
This was exactly why Legend never wanted to be a leader. He’s never handled having lives in his hands well.
