    “Like…punched you in the face?” Stella-Rebecca asked.

    “It…” Hazel huffed. “Look, I was visiting him for the break, he got mad and…it just happened.” She shook her head and scrambled to make it better. “But like, right after it happened he apologized. He’d had a hard day at work and I got in his way, that’s all.”

    PJ walked around the table and leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to Hazel’s forehead that left the girl stunned where she sat. “Watch Hazel for me.”

    “Where are you going?” Britanny questioned.

    “To commit a crime. Severity will depend on how generous I feel when I get there.” PJ told them simply, not even sparing them a glance as she headed out the door.

     

    OR: Hazel's dad is garbage and PJ does not approve.
