”Don’t worry, Jay, we’re going to fuck you so well.” Dick’s deep voice is calm. Firm. A bit amused. His smile is sharp.
“But you don’t get any say in when that happens. Or how it happens. Or anything about it, really. You’re going to take whatever Tim and I decide to give you. You can keep saying please, if you want, and crying, and squirming, and whining like a little brat, but it’s not going to change anything that we decide to do to you.”

Summary
Hal Jordan was dying long before a mission went wrong and his heart finally gave out.
He was dying when he signed the divorce papers. Dying without making it anyone else’s problem.
No one Noticed.
Not Bruce. Not Clark. Not the Justice League.And Hal was fine with that because twenty months ago he signed away the right to have anyone worry about him.
He would have kept it that way, too If he hadn’t burned himself out saving the world. If he hadn’t collapsed hard enough that everyone finally had to look.
Now Bruce and Clark are hovering like they never spent nearly two years avoiding him. Acting like this is their burden to carry, like they didn’t already decide, once, that letting him go was easier than staying.
Hal doesn’t understand it. There’s no cure. If Oa hasn’t found one, there’s no point in pretending otherwise. He’s made peace with dying.
Bruce and Clark haven’t.
They refuse to give up on him the way they gave up on the marriage. And that more than the poison in his blood or the ache in his chest is what hurts the most.
Because Hal is still in love with them. And loving them while they fight to save him might be the one thing he can’t survive.

Summary
James is a normal man living a completely average life. Then a plane crash leads him to his death. He wakes up in the body of Alfonso Weiss, a character from a series of fantasy romance novels. It may not seem so bad at first glance. Alfonso is rich, handsome, and a powerful wizard.
Well, there was just one problem: Alfonso wasn’t the hero of The Wizard’s Heart. He’s the main rival of the lead character and was destined to die at the hands of his own brother partway through the series.
James must now scramble to rewrite his fate and survive in this fictional world where the odds are against him. To make things even worse, the main characters of the story seem uncomfortably interested in him… romantically interested.
