Perspective, he thinks. Looking at things from a different point of view really does do wonders. It reveals so many secrets, so many truths. And right now, it has revealed to him something new about Clark, something that had been hidden to him before. And Bruce is determined to not waste this knowledge, to let it guide him, and help him help Clark.

“You knew I wouldn’t be here, Hannibal. Why did you come?”
“This was the last place that I saw you. I saw it fitting for a goodbye.” Hannibal replies flatly. “I am prone to feelings of sentimentality from time to time.”
The statement is so open and raw that it feels like a (second) stab to the gut and knocks the wind out of Will’s lungs.
“Why did you come here, Will?” He asks.
Will bites at his lip. He could lie. He could tell Hannibal that he’s on a favor for Jack, but deep down he knows he won’t. They’ve lied to each other so many times and now Hannibal is being open, and Will won’t sour that by lying. “I came here because… because I knew that you would.”

The night before Will's wedding, Hannibal breaks out of prison. Will travels to Wolf Trap one last time just to say goodbye. Or at least, that's the plan.- Language:
