If there was one actual gift Corporate had given them, it was that they couldn’t remember what humans actually looked like, not even Tessa; so J could pretend the skin Cyn wore was just some nameless organic jackass she had decided she liked the look of. Or that she’d even grown it herself with her disgusting, hideous supernatural powers.
The denial never lasted long when she had to be in close contact with Corporate, and once it stopped working things got… well they got bad.

It is only after J receives some form of nudge that she may be capable of having a positive relationship with our favorite golden retriever enthusiast. Whether that nudge is above a flight of stairs or in front of a moving train depends on the author.

Summary
