What is Jinx scared of, you might ask? The chewed holes which are obvious signs of a rat infestation? The warnings from their new landlord that they should keep the toilet lid shut in case of cockroaches? Or maybe the array of loud and extremely suspicious sounds at night?
Nope. Not even close. Jinx was born and raised in Zaun, then spent the last four years of her life in a college dormitory the size of a peanut. She could deal with a shabby, cheap first apartment. Especially when she’s still trying to find a job that she actually studied for.
But moving in with Ekko fucking terrifies her.
In which Jinx and Ekko move in together and she feels very calm and normal about the ordeal.

And, oh, that's another thing that always makes her flush a little - the terms of endearment that he likes to address her with, tumbling from his lips at any opportune moment. It’s like he knows the effect he has on her when he calls her ‘darling’ or ‘love’, his mouth hovering so torturously close to her ear that she can hear the exact way his voice drops into a deep rumble.
It's almost embarrassing, the way one man can reduce her to such a mess without even having to try.
Or: Yor has a problem - she may just love her husband a little too much.

At his unexpected question, she abruptly sits up straight, looking at him in bewilderment while she can hear the Windows error sound play on repeat in her head as she tries to formulate a response. Ekko continues to play with her hair, patiently waiting for her answer.
"I have twenty-two cents on my bank account and a Dorito chip in my pocket," is what she ends up blurting, brain still empty
They've been together for a year now, which is the longest Jinx has ever been in a relationship. Still, she wasn't prepared for Ekko to start talking about their possible future.

Yor hums, hugging him a little tighter with her fingers digging into the fabric of his shirt, and she lets her head hit snugly against the bend of his neck and shoulder. “I’ve missed you more.”
And hearing that does astronomical things to his heart.
Or: Loid comes home late after a relatively long mission. He just misses his wife and wants to hold and kiss her again.

It also doesn't help that apparently the night before Loid called Yor in a drunken stupor and spoke a little too honestly about his feelings.
