Summary
Identity is not a cohesive whole, but how the pieces fit together, constantly evolving. The young detective has learned this, but solving this puzzle may prove to be the one case she can't solve. Especially when one factors in her always-shifting place among her friends.
To make matters worse, she finds herself involved in a case of innocents being abducted for an unknown group's experiments with Shadows. An experiment that has gone horribly right. Reality threatens to unravel into its darkness.

Summary
Dojima and Shirogane make very awkward, if not downright terrible, coworkers. Never mind the generational gap and the fact that the Inaba police department was willing to higher a literal CHILD specialist- Detective Shirogane is stubborn, standoffish, and self-absorbed. But when Detective Shirogane becomes Yu's friend Naoto, Dojima has to set his fears and assumptions aside and try to be a good dad for his nephew's extended friend group.
