he re-reads the instructions, mouthing it silently. he doesn’t think he’s made a mistake. he’s gotten all of it right.
he takes a deep breath, then looks over the summoning circle hes made, in the depths of an abandoned house he found.
candles give off a dim light, shining on the dark red liquid that’s sloshing around in the bowl tubbo is holding.
he tosses the bowl into the circle, watching the contents spill, and starts chanting, chanting until his voice is raw and scratchy.
just when he thinks it won’t work, that he’s done something wrong, something echoes through the house. he falters in his words, seeing the circle he messily drew out of cheap chalk start to glow.
then, someone- no, something comes out of it.

Summary
Tommy, after being exiled from his home kingdom flees to the surface. He was always told to never go past the walls of the kingdom growing up because the people on the surface would be less than kind. To never leave the water because it meant certain death. “Trying to blend in is too risky!” The elders would say. Stories and warnings echoed in his mind; if the surface dwellers caught you, they would cut off your tail and rip out your vocal cords.
Fear of the surface gripped him but any more months in exile would drive him over the edge so he leaps the walls, swims to the surface and goes as far as he can away from the water. Who knew the journey to escape would lead him to the arctic.
Meanwhile, a disappearance threatens to disrupt the already unstable peace between the four major kingdoms. Years of discrimination and misinformed fear are forced to be realized and a sweeping munch-needed change is coming.
Or
Tommy is a refugee siren that escapes exile and ends up bunking with Technoblade. Poltical drama happens along the way.

“Ayup,” it—no, he, something told Tubbo the being was a he—said eventually.
“Um.” What the fuck did ‘ayup’ mean? Was that Latin? If Tubbo repeated it, was he getting sent straight to hell? “Um…!”
“Well.” The mysterious being bounced on the balls of his feet as he looked around the kitchen. “Not quite what I expected from my first summoning, but it’s nice! It’s great, really. Very creative.” He reached out and patted Tubbo firmly on the head before his lagging brain could move out of range. “Good job. So, what can I do for you?”
Tubbo gulped nervously. “I… come again?”
“You summoned me. So, what can I do for you?”
