OMG this was sooooooo cute.
I remember getting through a few chapters and pausing to look through the tags because I could not figure out what I put in the search for this gem to pop up.
When I was half way through I sent it to my friend and told her “I think you’ll enjoy this one because it reminds me of those girly anime’s you watch”Okay enough gushing about my reactions let’s get to the story.
It’s primarily a slice of life where two damaged individuals have to deal with the present: a werewolf bond that declares them as mates.
The future: which is a giant QUESTION MARK
And the past: filled to the brim with childhood trauma
We, the lucky readers, get a chance to follow along this journey rooting for a couple that is hell bent of self destruction.I laughed, I cried, I stared at the wall and processed my feelings…. And I would do it again in a heart beat.
Well done you. Well done.

This storyline was really cute. I like the idea of the characters being reincarnated over and over again and finding each other and falling in love.
I wasn’t totally convinced with Phoebe reason to resist falling for the Krios. I know she was just making excuses in order to distance herself Emotionally, but the excuses were a bit MEH.
And instead of the Krios, recognizing that the excuses were weak, he kind of just accepted them and took it way too personally.But the rest of the plot was really good and I was hanging on the edge of my seat, figuring out what the hell we were getting into and how we were going to get out of it alive.

This was an interesting read. But I can't say the romance was convincing.
It almost felt irrelevant to the overall plot Eve was forced to return to the castle to marry a demon that fell in love with her when they were children...OK... 🧐

But how come when he was a child he was a pro in regulating his emotions and hiding his true feelings, but now as an adult, he’s having a temper tantrums all over the place? Constantly belittling and threatening to lock up someone who was essentially his only friend as a child? His actions would make a little bit more sense if he was a dick to everybody else, and she was the exception. But it seems like he was totally able to be polite during certain situations with others but "sorry Eve when I’m with you mask off" 🥊.
Also, it was kind of cute that she was just blushing virgin every time they fold around, but I was waiting for her to become a little bit more bold and comfortable with her body and his. But no, every single time they had sex it was almost like the first time written all over again.
As far as the rest of the plot? It was great and I enjoyed the tension of Eve learning how to be royalty but also navigating the dangers in this political world.
Just sucks that one of the dangers her partner. -

I was very excited to start this book. Especially once I found out that instead of an omega love interest it was going to be a beta. In this universe omega’s, so far, have not had any careers or goals. So I knew if a Beta was the main character than they would have to have a job and probably wouldn’t be a teenage bride.
And I was not disappointed. YAY! 🥳
The main character Laura, was just as insecure just like the previous female main characters but for a different reason. The premise of this book was that Omegas are the crème de la crème and Betas are just an afterthought. so most if not all of Laura's insecurities arise from not feeling like she was worthy of an Alphas attention. Considering the Alphas she was in contact with I can't imagine why she thought they were worthy to breath the same air as her. But you know what, It's not my story....
Laura was also pretty strong and independent and was able to come up with a pretty decent plan/future for herself regardless of if she did it alone or with a partner.
I always like more dynamic main characters cause, even though this story really just boiled down to another baby plot, the characters still had other problems and goals to focus on. Actually the fact that Laura was strong on her own helped even out the baby plot point.

Book 3, where do I begin? This book kind of had the same issues I had with book 2. There are some side stories that are introduced that never get brought up again. Two examples I can think of was what happened to Viola’s friend from school? Also, why was James in the Hunt? (I’m not a perfect reader so there is a chance that they are addressed and I just missed it )
Usually, these side stories wouldn’t be a super big deal except for that there really wasn’t anything else to focus on.
Another thing that was a bit lackluster was the emphasis on how immature viola was. Sure sometimes it was kind of like she was throwing a tantrum, but 85% of the time her feelings were valid. Most of the book revolved her being lonely, and James being a workaholic. And although I enjoy the world that these characters exist in, the fact that so far none of the three women work on any goals/dreams while being so incredibly lonely is a bit bland.
They all kind of start off mentioning dreams. Reba mentioned wanting to travel, Grace loves plants and works on her garden, but doesn’t do much with it, Viola started the book saying she wanted to do something to stop the omega hunts once and for all. But all they do is become lonely housewives
And I guess that is also is why this book didn’t hit as high as the other books in the series. It started off very strong with a couple that had desires to change the system who kinda just gave up on that dream immediately. Like they gave up on that dream so fast it felt like I was the one who made it up! 😂

The first book in this series was like someone taking a hammer to your heart every other chapter. It was shattering.
So I was a little happy that this book was not as traumatic as the first one, but the relationship between the two main characters wasn’t as interesting. It seemed more like two people on self-discovery journeys that didn’t actually share what they learned about themselves. (Maybe I should say they didn’t communicate it on page)I also ended the book with a lot of questions revolving some of the side stories that were introduced. As those side stories happened, I was intrigued and wondering how this is gonna help the main characters come together and grow. But instead, it seem like something else to just throw into the mix, but not something to actually deal with.
At the end of the day, I still had fun. Lol.

Ughhhh I was in tears Non Stop! I was feeling the pain with Reba and sometimes I could feel my heart squeezing in pain. I don’t usually feel so strongly for sad scenes so either this was written very well, or I’m starting my period…
Probably both.
I felt like there could have been a little more transparency with Kristján’s feelings/thoughts at the beginning to balance out Reba’s. When we got more of his pov later it didn’t seem to match the first half of the story.
I feel like there was probably a way to blend it to add to the miscommunication without giving everything away, but it kinda fell flat.
