Summary
Spider always knew he didn't belong. Too Navi for the humans, and too human for the Navi. He never fit in and most likely never will and he's accepted that, but why does it hurt so much to see Lo'ak being encouraged by his father when he caught his first fish or when Kiri hurt her knee and was fussed over by her mother for the rest of the day. He knew he wasn't a part of their family; no matter how much he wanted to be one of them. He had finally accepted that. That doesn't mean it hurts any less. Now that he's back with them in the Metkayina village and feels as though he shouldn't intrude on the family's mourning he's decided to give them space. He was the one that killed Neteyam, he came back for him and he was killed for that mistake, and to make it better spider saved the man that caused this.
OR
Spider starts to distance himself from the Sullys and they start to take notice. Spider's trauma and guilt come to the surface and all jake can do is watch his child self-destruct. Jake will try all he can to show Spider this is his family..but is it too late?

The waves splashed at his feet, the moonlight reflecting on the moving water.
Everybody alway hated him.
He stood up looking over the coast to see what was on the other side. But all he saw was Black Sea and reminders of his father. What he was to these people.
“Why Eywa! Why would you do this to me! Make them hate me so much make me hate myself!”
He saw her, but she didn’t see him.
“I don’t want to go back”
He jumped into the water hoping to never come back up again.

Jake learned about Neteyam on the first peaceful day since the sky people left. Their family was growing, and the addition of Kiri and Lo'ak only filled him with more joy. Tuktirey completed the family. With each child Jake and Neytiri grew more confident, and they basked in the peace of their new life.
The moments surrounding the births of each of his children, and the one child he could never really call his. (We deserve more cute Sully family moments, and Spider deserves more love.)

Summary
He ducked behind a tree trunk once he’d put some distance between himself and the group, pressing his back against the bark as he took deep steady breaths. He waited for the shouting to start, for his name to echo through the trees. But when that didn’t happen, he reached up for the first tree branch above his head.
He used to think that he was born to climb. Back when he was a kid and didn’t know much beyond the fence of Hell’s Gate, he spent every day climbing the trees at the edge of the boundary. He climbed until it became second nature, and he’d reach for footholds on instinct. Now, he shimmied up the young tree with ease, the wet moss a bit tricky to navigate but he managed it.
He crossed between treetops once he was high enough, watching as the recoms finally pulled their friend free. A murmur shot up between them, and their heads turned quickly.
They were looking for him.
