Clint knows that the circus folk mock him — call him too trusting, too soft-hearted — but even he knows nothing in this life comes free. The words puzzle him, and he reads them again carefully to make sure he hasn’t made a mistake.
His eyes are drawn to one posting at the very bottom corner, different from the others. This one is sun-faded and starting to yellow, curling at the corners. Clint crouches down, brow furrowing and lips moving as he sounds out the unfamiliar words.

“It does,” he mumbled, turning to look at Muichiro.

Kyoutani had stopped going to volleyball practice, but he hadn't stopped going to volleyball, not entirely. Mondays he would make it to the Seijou locker room and although his palms itched to feel the weight of a volleyball and the sounds of sneakers squeaking against the gym floor sent shivers up his spine, he never made it on to the court. Realistically there were only a few meters separating the two rooms but to Kyoutani it felt like miles. He wanted to be there, but he was here; close yet far. Here because he had things to do, places to be, jobs to work, and because; his locker was the safest place for him to keep what little valuables he had.

Summary

For years they live on the streets, fleeing from those who might try to keep them apart. Everything changes when they're found by The Fukurodani agency. With the promise of being able to build a new life where they don't need to live in hiding, they agree to join up.
Some things are too good to be true. Tasked with the leadership of a team of teenagers Hajime and Tooru must navigate the unknown world of a battlefield as they attempt to keep their team together and complete their mission.

Summary
Growing up in the Tendou home was never fun and games, it was perfection and pain. Satori Tendo takes it upon himself to care for his younger sister when life at home gets a little to hard. Ushijima is unsurprisingly calm what the girl shows up out of the blue at their school and helps Satori to make sure she is safe.
Please read the tags, this fic talks a lot about: food and the starts of an eating disorder, Mental Abuse of a minor, Panic/Anxiety attacks, and a bad family life. I don't think I go into a lot of details about it but it is the main focus of this fic. So please keep that in mind and proceed with caution.
