Summary
Victory was in sight. Soon, Skynet would be permanently deactivated and humanity would finally be rid of the machine threat once and for all.
But right at the cusp of victory, Skynet pulled out its final trump card and activated the highly experimental time displacement device that was housed deep within the bowels of the facility.
The plan: assassinate the resistance leader's mother before she could give birth to the leader of the resistance, thereby crushing it before it could ever form.
The method: a powerful Infiltrator unit capable of withstanding any potential firepower that could be brought against it.

Summary
It's no secret that Wednesday Addams does not emote and has difficulty interpreting other people's emotional states. In fact, most simply believe she's incapable of feeling emotions at all.
Those people are only half right.

I cannot make you what you already are.” It took a second for Max to remember what this was supposed to be about, but then she blushed furiously. Darach went on, merciless. “You have a rare eye, to see the truths hidden in the quiet and the everyday. We would not have met, else.”
