Here, like this, face-to-face, Yoongi finds it easier. Here, Taehyung can pick up on his nonverbal cues, and Yoongi can show rather than tell. Taehyung says, “Did you even miss me?” in a little quiver that threatens an outburst, to which Yoongi promptly snuffs out when he curls an arm underneath Taehyung’s middle and tugs him closer.
Taehyung is pliant, moves so he can nose himself into Yoongi’s neck. He sighs gently, an involuntary noise of satisfaction, tension loosening his limbs. His warm breath against Yoongi’s bare skin is a match that sparks to life. A flame to set off emotion, desire. Fuck, Yoongi missed him. He can’t deny it anymore.

“I saw this really pretty butterfly,” Taehyung says, his eyes nearly crossed as he tries to look at Yoongi’s hand on his nose. “I was following it and I didn’t even realize I wandered into the road.”
Yoongi steps back, bloodied gauze in hand. “You were following a butterfly?”
“Yes.” Taehyung sighs dreamily. “It was blue.”
If he’s being honest, this is not at all what Yoongi expected vampires to be like. He didn’t expect scary bloodsucking monsters either, nothing like that. But… well, he didn’t expect a guy who follows butterflies and seems to, maybe, be not entirely all there.

Paramedic Yoongi meets vampire Taehyung when he gets hit by a car while following a butterfly. After being stuck in his coffin for [mumbles] years, Taehyung is a little eccentric and behind the times. Yoongi isn’t entirely sure why he offered Taehyung, who can only name three songs off the top of his head, music appreciation lessons. But inviting a vampire into his home and his life is probably no big deal. Right?

Summary
For as long as Kim Taehyung could remember, he’s wanted one thing: to be a soldier. It’s his dream, but he knows he’ll never be able to achieve it. Until he meets Ahn Yoongi, a soft-spoken teacher who’s dedicated his life to teaching children, regardless of their personal wealth. He doesn’t trust Taehyung, doesn’t trust anyone who chooses a path of violence, but something about Taehyung’s earnest dedication speaks to him.
It should have been simple. Yoongi should have simply taught Taehyung to read and write like he wanted. He shouldn’t have fallen in love, shouldn’t have waited for him, and, most of all, shouldn’t have let Taehyung’s fearless nature influence him to take on more than he could handle. Instead, with Taehyung’s bravery pushing him forward, Yoongi digs deeper to reveal the truth of his fractured memories, and risks everything.
Taehyung only hopes he can get back to him in time.

Summary
Taehyung liked to think he was a simple man. He was driven by his dedication to his pack, to his family and friends. As the second son of the pack alpha, he knew his responsibilities in easing the growing pains his pack was bound to experience due to the merger with the Mins from the north.
Min Yoongi was the beloved former heir, and with courting season coming up Taehyung thought there was a perfect plan to raise the morale of their packmates. Fake a courtship, play the part, drift, and leave on amicable terms. The Mins would be proud that their former heir was courting the highest ranked omega, and the Kims would be relieved that Taehyung finally found a courting partner worthy of him.
It was a simple plan. It was supposed to be a simple plan, but he should have known that matters of the heart were never simple.
