The light from the corner lamp in his small living room lit up behind his back.
Hinata stopped in his tracks as a chill ran down his spine. It was as if he had summoned this event with all his negative thoughts from before. There was someone in his apartment.
“When were you going to tell me you were back in Japan?”
There wasn’t someone in his apartment.
That voice. The coldness of those words. The accusations behind the tone he was using. That voice could only belong to one person and one person only. He turned on his heels choking on his breath, scared, shocked, confused. His eyes widened in recognition of the tall figure sitting in the corner, apparently fed up of having to wait for Hinata to come home, if any of the features in his face were any kind of indication.
His best friend. His ex lover. The reason why he got to where he was in the first place. The person from whom he had been fleeing this whole time. Kageyama Tobio.
