That seemed to be his issue. Not following orders. Not submitting to authority, no matter who wields it. He tries to listen, to be the good, obedient soldier his father wants him to be. But he's not Neteyam. He wasn't born a soldier. He wasn't even born a real Na'vi. 5 fingers. Hair above his eyes. Kuru sprouting from the base of his skull and not the top. A freak. A loose cannon. Unable to bend to the requirements of his people. Of his family. And now here we are. Suffering, all because he couldn't stay put.

“Just fucking get this over with,” Rin grits out.
His smile is beautiful and open, the way it was in her memories and worst nightmares.
“Good,” he says, more to the guests honed in on their conversation than to her. “Then it’s about time everyone met my beautiful, brilliant girlfriend.”
Five years after the fact, Rin reprises the role of Nezha’s girlfriend for his sister’s wedding.
