Summary
The afterlife in ASOIAF is an interesting one, the Starks, Targaryens and everyone else watched as the events of Season 8 unfolded. To say they were happy with them would be a lie.
So what happens when Cregan Stark decides he can change events for what he considers to be better?
Cregan makes his way back to Westeros but he is not alone, joined by Rickon, they arrive during season 8 and events follow from then.

Summary
House Targaryen was in free fall, had been for years. Aerys, the Mad King, may have been mad but he had a plan. A plan that would see the House of Dragons soar again.
He had survived the Great Upheval, it had cost him his greatest heir, Rhaegar. He would never forgive the Realm, the world for taking his future away. It would pay for his loss, they all would.
All is not lost however, Rhaegar left Aerys an heir, so now he would keep the prince safe even if he had to imprison his rival in his own castle.
No secret stays a secret forever, and there a number of factions seeking a missing boy, to use him against Aerys and take his throne. When Viserys dares the younger Dragons to descend into the depths of the catacombs to confront the monsters that dwell there. They find no monsters, but they do find a mysterious boy locked in a Black Cell.
Even after returning to the light of the surface, Princess Daenerys cannot dispel thoughts of the mystery boy in the Black Cell.Series

The boy looks to the man, his father, who has now reached them, and is staring at the woman now. The boy is not good with reading facial expressions, but he has always been good at feeling emotions. He feels as if he is caught in the middle of a thunderstorm, with no umbrella and without his raincoat. He does not like lightning, the way it is quick and unpredictable and can burn something to the ground in one strike.
He sees the woman’s throat move, forming a gulp. “Is that…?” she says, though the boy does not understand why she asks it as a question or why she is repeating herself, because it is just two words, not even a sentence.
The man shakes his head and runs his long fingers through his hair, disturbing it even more. “Yes,” Benny Watts tells Elizabeth Harmon. “That is your son.”
