Summary
“Are you alright?” Apparently, she hadn’t played it off as cool as she’d thought.
But was she alright? She wanted to pour her heart out, but didn’t know where to even begin. She wanted to let out centuries of yearning, but had no idea what to say, as she doubted that she was even able to fully convey what she felt. A major flaw – feelings. So impossibly problematic to convert them into words.
or: Crowley tries to propose. Not everything goes according to plan, but it turns out fine in the end.

or: They're smoking weed together. There's nothing more to it.

Maybe it was for the best she wasn’t coherent enough to say anything, because if she were, she would probably say something along the lines of “thank God for that sinful tongue of yours,” and there really was no need for accidental blasphemy.
or: Crowley turns out to be far more enthralling than the book Aziraphale was reading.

They were planning too much, and too far ahead – that was the only conclusion. It simply wasn’t one of those days. The aura of laziness had been lingering in the air ever since they had woken up.

Summary
He tried many things to make their parting easier for himself. He tried just moving on with his life, he prayed rather excessively, he tried to focus on work – both angelic and human. It was all getting out of hand – at one point, he tried to gaslight himself into thinking that he didn’t even like Crowley. But ultimately, none of that worked out.
or: After 1967, Soho, Aziraphale eventually realises he misses Crowley and decides to do something about it. Then it turns out he overestimated his confidence a bit.
