Johnny was definitely a good friend in his eyes, prided himself on it, bragging about how he always gives his friends over the top gifts. So how else is he supposed to be a good friend, if he doesn’t do something stupid and over the top for his best bud Kenshi?
He could’ve just bought him a service dog and gotten it over with, but no. Johnny wasn’t like that, he’ll get the best gift for Kenshi. Even if it is kinda odd and Johnny didn’t think it through.

Though the actor longs for the cold Grandmaster, wishing to be the one to soften and melt his heart. To be the one who holds the title of the Grandmasters love, to be his first for everything. To show him the ways of love, and how it can be good. Maybe eventually the Grandmaster will give in?
While a dragon lingers in the shadows, watching from afar as he, himself, wishes to hold the actor dear. But all he can claim is the thought of a hopeless wish, as the actor will never be his to hold.

There was a cat hybrid in the corner of the cell, sprawled on the cold stones. His face was covered with dirt, his chest barely moving. He looked almost dead. His wrists were chained to the bars, Chris noticed. His thoughts were interrupted when the guide approached him.
“Oh, that one’s not up for adoption; he’s too sick. The vet will come by and take him down this afternoon.”
Chris gasped, turning slowly toward the man. He must have heard wrong.“Take... take him down?”
“Yeah. Like I said, he’s too sick. He’ll be dead in a week or two anyway, and we don’t want the others to get infected! Plus, it would be less painful for him, too. It’s really the best option for everyone.” The man said it so casually, like he was talking about the weather and not killing a person.
“I’ll take him. I’ll… I want to adopt this one.” The words jumped out of Chris’s mouth before he knew it.

Summary
Everyone and their mother knows that suppressants aren’t foolproof. They’re not a one size fits all like the pharmaceutical companies tout them to be. Some meds are better for omegas than others, but price and availability limits their usage. It’s a whole thing that Robert has learned to live with.
So, when one of the members of Z-Team is going into a rut because of a mysterious drug, the suppressants aren't as effective as they should be. Robert decides to hole up for a day in hopes he’s only going into pre-heat and not a full blown heat.
What he gets is help from an alpha that he never expected.

My therapist told me I should try and get my feelings out through writing letters, so might as well listen. I don’t know why I chose you. I suggested you first, actually, but then I backtracked because Cris definitely would be a better answer. My therapist said I had to go with you ‘cause you were the first one that came to mind.
Now I know what you’re thinking. Wow, Johnny Cage has a therapist? And yeah, it seems a bit out of this world for me, but after everything that went down in Outworld, I just needed someone to talk to.(Or, the collection of letters from Johnny to Kenshi that remained forever unsent)
