Summary
Chance eyes Elliot’s arm-the large scratch that ran down from his forearm to his wrist. Still bleeding, as he continuously tries to stop it from oozing.
“You're injured,” Chance says, a fact that they acknowledge. Elliot laughs nervously in response. Clutching his arm as he winced from the pain.
Chance approaches him, careful steps as if Elliot would back away from him like a scared kitten. “Here,” they say, pulling out a medkit, and opening it. “Let me help.”
Elliot tries to wave them off. “Really, I'm fine.” Who is he trying to convince? Himself or Chance?
“I'm not asking you.” Chance responds.
Elliot falls silent at that.
In which, when you put others before yourself-it's almost guaranteed that someone is bound to get a little frustrated for you.
