Summary
Amy is a monster hunter. It's her job to kill the troublemakers who try to disrupt the human world and to keep people happily ignorant of the supernatural wars being fought around them. So when she discovers a young adult changeling that thinks it's human, she isn't quite sure what to do. It isn't harming anyone, but it's a potential loose cannon. After two years of careful observation, she thinks she's found a good use for it and decides to adopt it.
Austin didn't ask to have his transformation powers. He just wanted to live a normal human life like everyone else. Unfortunately, his captor isn't going to allow that. She calls him a changeling and keeps him locked up in her basement. Can he escape before he loses his humanity and sanity?

Summary
After the events of "To Catch a Bede", Gloria realizes she has no idea what to do now. She had promised Bede a date, but what did that mean exactly? More importantly, what did Bede think that meant?
Meanwhile, Bede is struggling with his own anxieties and paranoias. He really wants this date with Gloria, but it's as if his own mind and body is conspiring to stop him from enjoying it.
Will the two get over their awkward emotions and have a pleasant evening? If you read the tags, you can probably guess the answer to that question.

So it's after the Epic Fantasy War Against An Evil Lord has ended and been won, and all the exciting stuff has died down. And as people are coming home and rebuilding, one human woman finds herself in the position of having to marry one of the defectors from the Evil Overlord's army, and live with him in his castle full of monsters.
This is fine, probably. It can't hurt, at least. It won't be too strange, maybe.

The beautiful scholar prince of a conquered country is given in marriage to the monstrous warrior queen of their conquerors, in an effort to keep his family and his kingdom safe. It's possible that his new wife didn't expect him to be quite as pragmatic about it as he is, though. To be fair, his family didn't either.
