Suddenly aware and growing insecure of his accent leads him to grow insecure of his skin, leading him to grow insecure of his weight, leading him down a spiral. He needs to be perfect. Summary
In the wake of the intense battle, Hopper’s post-Russian resurrection, the Byers' move back to Hawkins, and the group’s gradual recovery, the party decided to have bi-weekly movie nights at either the Byers or the Harrington residence. After the first month of the kids and Eddie arguing over what movie to watch, Steve had decided he had enough, and they started to rotate whose choice of movie they would watch.
On May 31st 1986, it just so happens to be one Dustin Henderson's turn to pick. The day of, Dusin spends his morning looking through his own tapes and in the process, discovers a banged up and unlabeled black tape. His natural curiosity moves him to pick this as his movie selection as neither he nor his mother can remember what exactly is on this tape.Little does he know, this decision will lead to hidden truths being revealed and a complete destruction of how he views one of the most important people in his life.

Summary
During a small party at Steve Harrington’s house, the group chooses a blank, unlabeled tape from a stack of movies,one with no title and no warning. What begins as a strange film night quickly turns into something far darker when the footage reveals a past Steve never meant to share.
Set in North Denver, 1978, the tape shows Steve as a boy, called Steve,living under the shadow of disappearances, black vans, and whispered fear. As the story unfolds, the group watches Steve’s childhood play out: his bond with his cousin Gwen, her prophetic dreams, the looming presence of The Grabber, and the violence that lived behind closed doors.
As the lines between memory and horror blur, the truth becomes impossible to ignore,some dreams are warnings, some silences are learned, and some scars never fade. Forced to confront the boy he was and the pain he survived, Steve must face a past that refuses to stay buried.
