Summary
Penelope stamps down the part of her brain that reminds her that it’s because Colin is unfortunately her soulmate. Sex will never be this good with anyone else, she’s sure of it.
But she can live a good life only having amazing sex four times a year. Penelope just has to find a man who can take the hit to their ego.
And that man is not Alfred.
-
Three years after Colin rejects the idea of being Penelope's soulmate, the dreaded quill burned its mark on her bicep. For seven years, Penelope has been able to keep herself at the bare minimum, sleeping with Colin four times a year in order to keep their yearning at bay. Now, her boyfriend has left her for his own soulmate, leaving Penelope to wonder if its time to give Colin a chance.

Summary
The day Penelope finally accepted that she was a beta was crushing. She was a romantic at heart and longed for the unwavering connection an alpha had with their omega. She shouldn’t have been surprised, the chance of her presenting as anything else was about as near zero as it could get. Unheard of in the medical community, almost disproven by science.
She gave herself the night to mourn, to accept that any love story she had would pale in comparison to the ones she yearned for.
Her only consolation was that Colin Bridgerton was a beta too.
-
As betas, Penelope and Colin are used to their relationship being misunderstood by his family but an unexpected heat rippling through the omegas at Aubrey Hall pushes Colin's insecurities to the forefront.

Summary
There is no escaping reality: she is with child.
She is not afraid of the prospect of having another child, her births were easy enough and Penelope loves being a mother. She loves watching her babies grow and learn, loves being the one to teach them. If anything, she was getting maudlin as with two children out in society and her youngest rapidly approaching her debut. There is only one issue.
Her husband is dead.
-
After seeing Colin for the first time in twenty years, Penelope Debling enters a mutually beneficial relationship with him as their daughters become best friends.
However, when she discovers she’s with child, Penelope is forced to confront the feelings she tried to ignore during her lackluster first marriage.

Summary
Penelope wants to blame everyone else. Edwina, for hyping her up. The Bridgertons, for treating her like a real in-law when she was just a stand in. Taylor Swift, for making her look for clues that were probably never there.
Still, Penelope soldiers on. She traces her lips with her favourite liner before throwing on a red lipstick in a vain attempt to feel strong.
Fake it ‘till you make it. That’s what Portia taught her, maybe the only useful thing Porta ever taught her.
-
Penelope is certain that Colin, who has been her friend with benefits for the last two years, is on a date.
So what is he doing waiting for her at Bridgerton House?

Summary
“Pick your jaw up off the ground,” Michaela muttered before looping her arm through Colin’s. “Everyone can see you drooling and this is a no dogs allowed kind of bar.”
Colin touched his perfectly dry chin, just in case, before rolling his eyes.
“I’m not drooling,” he grumbled.
-
During Francesca and Michaela's double Hen Do, a mixture of Penelope's figure hugging bridal dress and an artistic request causes Colin to go into chaos mode.
It would be easier to handle if he knew how to keep his dress up.

Summary
To Penelope, it sounds like the perfect arrangement.
Marina gets all the acclaim, the glory, and the attention for singing her heart out, and Penelope gets to know that she’s the songwriter fueling Marina’s entire career. She barely thinks twice about signing the ghostwriting contract which demands total secrecy.
What she fails to consider is how it will feel watching the love of her life fall for her words while believing they belong to someone else.

Summary
When Colin opened the door for Penelope that day, he hadn’t realized that his life as he knew it was about to change. As he took her coat, it hadn’t occurred to him that he didn’t have all the time in the world to smile at her or enjoy her smiles or to jokingly battle with Eloise over who would have the honor of escorting her to the dining room where everyone was gathered. No, Penelope was his, ever since childhood, and he couldn’t conceive of a world where he didn’t have his best friend.

Summary
“Mum?” she asks slowly, clutching at her duvet. Portia looks… ridiculous. She looks like she’s off to a reenactment at the local castle, with her hair piled high and pinned up with a huge sparkly brooch, and she’s in an aggressively yellow Regency-era dress.
“Mama, Penelope, you’re not common,” Portia says with a sigh, pinching at the bridge of her nose. Pen’s mouth drops because they bloody well are common, but something has gone horribly awry here, and she’s not sure if kicking off is the best way to manage the situation.
“Sorry-- Mama, um. What’s the date?” she asks slowly.
