Ben — he struggles... plagued with nightmares of futures he prays won’t come and voices that whisper there is nothing he can do to stop it. The kids at school fear him. His parents fear him. Sometimes he even fears himself.
But Rey... Rey does not fear him. She looks at him like he has all the secrets to the galaxy hidden behind his eyes.

Summary
After the battle of Crait, the Resistance is left in shambles. Defeated and regretful, Rey laments the decisions that led her here. Leia, always a shining ball of hope, is not keen to let Rey wallow - instead, she has a plan. A secret mission with an even more secretive end goal that she believes will save the Resistance and the galaxy with it. But Kylo Ren has plans of his own. Plans for the Resistance, plans for the galaxy, plans for Rey.
There is unrest in the first order. Constantly on the brake of a coup, supreme leader Kylo Ren struggles to get a handle on the generals and his newfound power. But most of all, he struggles to get a handle on Rey. Despite his best efforts, and his humiliation on Crait, he has come to the unfortunate realization that he will stop at nothing to get Rey away from the Resistance and to her rightful place. By his side. His equal.
Or: Our two favorite love bird's complete tasks for their respective government parties while trying to hide their blossoming friendship… or is it more than friendship?
Right now this is set up as a one shot. But if there is any interest in this, I have more chapters to post.
