Summary
Geralt sighed. His day had gotten complicated after all. He would rather not end up being accused of having kidnapped a nobleman's son, but all the same he couldn't let this kid become drowner food. "I can help you get back home safely."
"No it's okay, I can do it on my own." The kid turned and took a few steps away. But before Geralt could call out after him, he turned back, casting another wistful glance at the drowner corpse. "Can I," he chewed his lip in deep deliberation, "Can I look at the monster first though?"
Geralt meets Jaskier as a child searching for adventure in the woods.

Jaskier is totally unprepared for wilderness travel. Geralt is totally unprepared for Jaskier. It's the start of a beautiful friendship.
(Inspired by my keen observation that Jaskier never carries anything other than a lute case in the show. Instead of suspending my disbelief like a regular human, I wrote eight thousand words of fanfic about it. You're all welcome.)

Summary
The Númenórean King Ar-Pharazôn thinks he has won an easy victory when Sauron surrenders to him and becomes his prisoner. But the march back to Umbar with the conniving Dark Lord turns out to have many unanticipated twists and turns through a nest of politics and intrigue, including Sauron's attempted seduction of Ar-Pharazôn's favorite male courtesan.

A comic adaptation of the Hobbit.
Bilbo has always struggled to tell the "true" story of what happened on his journey to the Lonely Mountain. Now, he's trying to retell his adventures as a bright happy children's book for his young nephew Frodo.
But is he telling the full truth? And are there things that he's leaving out?
(I'm taking the interpretation that Tolkien's 'translation; of the Red Book of Westmarch was only a translation of one of various copies made of the book throughout the centuries, and that I am 'translating' a different version of the text with the help of different primary sources! Which is why our descriptions of the events may differ.)

He looked up, and a man stood before him. Geralt hadn't heard him approach. That was the first sign there was something odd.
The second was the faint but still noxious smell of poison that clung to his fingers, just strong enough to make out over the spiced perfume he wore. And under all of that was a richer smell, as familiar as Geralt's own scent, because it was Geralt's own. Or a witcher's, at least.
