Chap 5 Preview:
“Oh.” He still looked unimpressed. “And?”
“And she's a priest, with powers against undead, who thinks we practice necromancy, who is about to find us in the dead of night in her graveyard, messing with a grave.” Wren hissed, frantically looking around for somewhere to hide.
Astarion rolled his eyes. “I feel you might be a tad overreacting. Besides,” he grinned, peering off in the direction of the noise. “Surely it depends what she finds us doing.” Panic made Wren ignore him, and she dragged him with her to the closest crypt. Gently she tried the rusted grate, finding it locked. Typical. Peeking around the building, she ducked back quickly as the Mortarch stomped closer.
Gesturing emphatically for him to unlock it, Wren slid behind and pushed him forward. With a sigh he produced his picks and set to it. -
