“Whose speech?” he hums, arching an eyebrow at her as she turns her head to scowl at him. “Oh your speech?” he chimes, rolling his head from side to side as he teases, “Sure, you know, bits and pieces.”
“Uh huh,” she narrows her eyes at him and he knows exactly what she’s waiting for.
He hesitates for a moment, lets her simmer in her embarrassment before caving. “Yeah, I saw some of it. It was good, you were good,” he concedes, smirking just slightly as he adds, “‘Visionary’, huh?”
