Summary
Raised by a single father, there was a young and sheltered apostate in the Denerim Alienage named Lyra Shanthi, a friend of the Tabris family. She is plagued by nightmares, a growing pain in the Anchor, and burning questions about the mother she never knew and the beloved father whose fate is unknown. With the help and support of her lover, Commander Cullen, she embarks on a search that takes her all over Ferelden, and back to the childhood she tried to forget.

Regardless of how it comes about, it always produces the same result: Max colliding with a barrier that stops her from going any further with Chloe. It's a wall that exists solely in the most abstract sense, its structure sound only within the confines of her own skull.
