I respect the author for making the distinction between “total miscommunication” vs “perfect communication” and the “something in between” that’s actually relatable. I never thought of it and now I can’t see it another way. I absolutely love how imperfect Minsung were here, while they were discovering each other in all the ways that matter. Jisung’s anxious thinking was so damn relatable.

Minho quirks a brow at the clumsy display, stuffs his hands in his pockets. The cute little mechanic is amusing, he’ll admit. Makes him want to say something completely out-of-left-field just to see his reaction; he imagines big round eyes, a disconcerted pout. Adorable.
Minho shrugs. “I fumbled one too many romantic prospects east of the Continental Divide, and I have too much of a pariah complex to handle it maturely.”

Or: Following another catastrophic end to a long list of failed relationships, Minho decides to pack up and start his life anew, but his plans are thwarted when his car breaks down on his drive across the Rocky Mountains. A simple sentence was all it was really, words compiled together to form a meaning. Sometimes such meanings were in fact meaningless, they held no truth and were only spoken for the sake of aggravation. Though in even rarer times, there was truth rooted in the very ground of the meaning and that was what caused the aggravation.
But what would a pirate know?
Or: Royal prince Seonghwa who is first in line for the throne, finally meets the recently captured and most feared pirate in all the Seven Seas who has been condemned to death. Every year on the feast on the Ceremony of the Golden Rose, the crown prince is to take a rose dipped in gold to present to one special prisoner as a gift of freedom and a new start at life. This year is like no other, besides the fact that the great pirate king who infuriates Seonghwa to no end might end up shedding a new kind of light on the young and very adventurous prince, changing his views altogether.

Summary
The warning was there, they had time to make it out. When the power went out without a moment’s notice followed by the water disappearing shortly after, Seonghwa knew that his screaming instincts weren’t to be ignored like his roommate told him. The portable radio they used only screamed static except for the occasional alarming words that no one believed because it was April 1st and it was all supposedly a big prank.
That’s all it was, right? Some big prank? That’s what Seonghwa’s roommate told him at least, but look where his roommate was now.
Or: Seonghwa attempts to survive during a zombie apocalypse and ends up meeting six loyal men and one incredibly cold-hearted leader to keep him company as they try to make it out alive.

I can’t believe I found another fic for my forever favorite fic list, but here I am, crybaby my internally because of how much I loved every single one of the 258k words. It kept me on my toes every chapter, and not to mention the amazing bond the boys forged through the journey, I am so happy and sad at the same time because I reached the end.
On a completely different note, I don’t know how intentional it was, but the moment I realized Seonghwa here was probably on the asexual spectrum made me cry with joy, because it made me feel so seen and not alone in my experiences. Every word he shared about his past relationships resonated so deep within me that I could kiss the author just for that. The fact alone has this fic even closer to my heart than it already was and I can’t wait to forget it all so I can experience it again.

Summary
Hongjoong works at the executive lounge of Conrad Seoul Hotel as a bartender, serving the hotel's VIP guests each evening. This is where he meets Seonghwa, a guest at the hotel on a romantic getaway with his partner - or - what was supposed to be a romantic getaway with his partner, if he hadn't caught the man cheating a few weeks before.
Instead of ordering a drink at Hongjoong's bar, he requests a glass of milk to dip the cookies his mother packed him in a special breakup bag. He comes with the same request each evening, and as the nights pass, they learn more about one another, about Seonghwa's breakup, and about his hesitance to indulge in all the couple things he planned to do alone or else he'd be reminded of the breakup.
In a spur of the moment decision, Hongjoong volunteers to take his ex's place, being the boost Seonghwa needs to enjoy the trip.
And enjoy the trip, they do.

Seonghwa started an OnlyFans while in university to help him and his roommate, Hongjoong, make ends meet, not anticipating his side-hustle to quickly spiral out of control, becoming his full-time job. His OnlyFans account gains him lucrative income, adoring fans, and a tight-knit team to help him grow even larger on the platform.
But as time passes, Seonghwa is starting to get burnt out, and his manager suggests changing things up by doing a challenge going around the platform. The only problem is, it requires a partner, something Seonghwa has refused time and time again with the same excuses-he doesn't have a partner, he doesn't trust anyone, he is afraid a collaboration will go south-shooting the idea down for the nth time.
Until one day his trusted photographer can't make it to their shoot, and Seonghwa is left to do it on his own, something he hasn't done in a while. But his roommate steps in, and offers to fill in for her last minute. Seonghwa is skeptical at first, since Hongjoong stays far, far removed from Seonghwa's profession, but when things go well-better than he could've imagined-Seonghwa doesn't see the harm in simply asking Hongjoong to help out a little more.

I did not expect that to go the way it did. 😳😳😳 And I'm saying this in the most positive way: I went in expecting porn, a little reluctantly, as I'm not into reading PWP, but it was recommended to me, so I just jumped in. It was SO good, and I mean I giggled and kicked my feet on the bed like a 15 year old, it made me blush and smile at the same time. Great execution of the plot. I did feel like there was something missing by the end, like maybe a more extensive talk, but it was still very good. WOW

Summary
Pirates spend their lives hunting down treasure, but the most valuable treasure of all isn’t gold or jewels - it’s mermaid scales. It’s only a matter of time until Seonghwa’s true identity is revealed, but he plans to destroy them all before it comes to that.

The world-building in this one is so good, and in general in all of this author's works, I love how intricate and thought-out it is. It shows that they put their heart (and all the knives) in it.
I really, really loved how it was a true enemies-to-lovers, and it might sound odd, but I'm not a big fan of that trope, but it works so well with this author. They know what they're doing, and I'm so, so excited to try their other works!!! -
