Being reborn as the daughter of Baelon and Alyssa Targaryen didn’t seem too bad, after all they were one of the only healthy relationships in G.R.R.M’s works. But being the sister of the infamous Daemon and Viserys Targaryen was a great misfortune.
Except, Daemon isn’t the evil, deplorable figure I imagined him to be?
He’s kind, and caring. Nothing alike to the degenerate man is read about in Fire & Blood.
Perhaps, allying myself with him will bring me to my ambitious goals to be Queen of Westeros, while unwilling to marry Viserys who butchered one wife and neglected the other.
If I can be Queen, with a caring King beside me, then I have succeeded in my personal goals.
Saving the Targaryen House is just an added bonus. But it won’t hurt to prevent the succession crisis of the Royal House, and to prepare Westeros in time for the war against the wights coming in the far winter.
