Agatha is the only daughter of Lady Evanora of Harkness, and the sole heiress of the Harkness dominion. She is tasked with finding a husband but finds kinship in Rio, the daughter of a mighty lord, instead. Agatha's mother insists she marries an infamous knight but tensions rise when a dark, grueling monster leaves behind dead bodies throughout the lands.

Summary
The body lies on the forest floor, silent, soulless. And Agatha flees upstream, sits by the waterfall for the rest of the afternoon. Then she sees it, the first animal acknowledging her presence hidden behind the streaming water. And so, ever curious and adventurous, she leaves her bag on the rocks to see what creature is staring at her with those humanesque eyes.

Summary
Someone dropped the bunny here with purpose. With the knowledge the garbage truck would come soon.
Agatha has no footing on a higher moral ground, but she does feel disdain towards the idea of killing innocent lives. It is easy to find faults in the moral behaviour of strangers. A pet rabbit, however, is bred to be at human mercy. Like a helpless child, they cannot survive on their own.
She has to take him.

The woman hummed in agreement. A tight, controlled smile formed on her lips. 'For most humans that depends on their beliefs. Heaven, Hell, reincarnation, nothing, everything; To them all is possible after death.' She stayed silent. In the tensing muscles of her jaw Agatha could tell of words left unspoken. Her newfound patience rewarded her when the woman added in an unemotive yet petulant manner 'I want to believe in that too.'

Rio’s steadfast demeanour wilts away. Hurt settles in the cracks of her frown, tugs at the corners of her mouth. “Okay.”
