"Please," he whispered as Spock took the phaser from him. "Please don't kill anyone. Or if you do, kill me too so I won't know about it."
Spock tilted his head, then lifted McCoy's chin with his pointer finger.
"Such a weak creature," he said in his deep voice. "And yet you carry such intense emotion without having it consume you."
It made no sense to McCoy, but he stopped thinking as Spock leaned in to brush their lips together, the touch lingering long after their mouths separated.
"I will have you, McCoy, but you will be of little use to me if those feelings finally overwhelm you. Come."

Working with people who have a very strong sense of justice can be good. When these people are telepathic aliens who see a memory of Mirror Spock forcing Bones into a mind-meld and immediately decide that Spock must be punished for this crime, though… less good.
And when these aliens believe that Bones must join their hive mind and deliver the sentence himself… well, that’s not Jim’s definition of a great day.
