Summary
Are you responsible for a crime you can't remember committing?
Enter the mind of a guilt-ridden former assassin as his quest for redemption is upended by a Mindflayer plot and a Sharran cleric. Join 'Pavel the Poet', the affable rogue as he struggles through Baldur's Gate 3!
This is a tale of overthinking moral quandaries, teamwork through gritted teeth, and the dangers of misplaced faith. At its core is the ever-evolving love story between a woman that yearns to remember, and a man desperate to forget. Can love redeem, or does it only blind? Is ignorance bliss? And to quote our favourite skeleton:What is the value of a single mortal life?
(This is a retelling of my first BG3 run from the POV of my poor Tav. Some poor choices and perfectly-timed bad rolls led to a wonderfully tragic story that I needed to put into writing. As it was my first playthrough, I miss content and make mistakes along the way, but that just adds to the angst! Above all, I was so moved by the DJ Shadowheart romance that I wanted to give it a good spotlight and perhaps alternate interpretation.)
TLDR Tav meets the 'I-Can-Fix-Her' character and decides "She can fix me" -

Summary
An accomplished assassin bites off more than he can chew after he takes a mysterious contract to murder a travelling hero...
(This is a fun little backstory I drew up for my Tav "Pavel the Poet", detailing his attitudes during his assassin days, as well as the turning point that set him on his attempted path of redemption. Set in and around Baldur's Gate in the months just before the start of BG3. Can be read as a stand-alone, or as a prologue for my upcoming retelling of my campaign as Pavel. Enjoy!)
