Summary
Prince John "Soap" McTavish, born the only son to King Rurik and Queen Cassandra, shortly before King Rurik's murder is left as the rightful heir to the throne and over protected by his mother and royal court. Simon "Ghost" Riley is born the son to a disgraced knight who once failed to protect the Fallen King. At age 15, the young prince presents as an omega and with it, a celebration for his coming of age, included is a tournament to find his sole protector and knight. As news of the Prince's subgender races through the kingdom, a letter finds itself at Simon's doorstep shortly after, demanding his presence at the Winter Games, he had never thought that the kingdom would truly take notice of him despite his years of training and being registered as an alpha. As the games come to an end, Simon's joy fails to last as he comes to realize that there are more shadows and secretive hands at play than he had ever realized, shadows that caused the fall of a kingdom and the start of an everlasting snow storm that the lonely prince is caught in. Fifteen years of whispers, rumors, and shame from the commonfolk, Simon finds himself back at the castle where it all began, determined to find the truth for himself.

Summary

“I’ve never seen him without it,” Gaz said between them. Price gave a nod from the other side of Soap. They were all seated in a row at the bar, the golden glow of the lights casting everything in a warm haze.
“Funny, didn’t think ye were Catholic,” Soap licked his lips like he was nervous. His eyes still hadn’t left the small outline of Saint George.

“Did you know that more than half the bones in your body are in your hands and feet?” Long, gloved fingers curl around a clenched fist, squeezing until there’s a huff of aggravation, tense jaw clenching, nails forced to bite into palm. “I think about that whenever someone says, “I’m gonna break every bone in your body”.”
The gloved hand releases, the shadow moves. He has little use for the finer tools, usually, but the slow-crawling pleasure of having time laps up his spine like a lover’s tongue, makes him fluid, comfortable in this tiny room, rank with sweat and fear. He grabs a hammer. Small, not something designed for construction. Precise.
“I think, ‘Well, that’s ridiculous. It’d be way too much work’.” He forces the hammer into the grip of the fist, so the fingers have no choice but to uncurl, and grabs the pointer and middle with bruising force. Their eyes meet. “But I could break half the bones in your body.”
A snap. A scream.
“Without even breaking a sweat.”

No one would ever choose him over Sam. That's just logic.
