Summary
Satoru puts on a wide, pacifying grin and kneels in front of his friend. He knocks the controller out of Suguru’s hands and clasps them tightly. “Come on, how about it? Or else we’ll talk in circles and never get anywhere."
Leaning closer, he can see how skin cells shed away from where their hands meet, how dust mites from the dormitory carpet soar to land on Suguru’s eyelashes. For a second, Satoru can’t speak. The second elapses like one great gasp at the center of creation.
Satoru doesn't know how to explain what having his cursed technique negated feels like. Of course, the only logical option is to let Suguru break Infinity himself.

Summary
"Suguru," Satoru says, feeling very, very stupid. "I just want to sit here for a while, if that's okay."
Suguru is giving him a look, a decent, subdued one.
"What?"
"Nothing. You… speak much more politely," he says.
"Oh," Satoru says. He scratches his head. "Yeah. I took your advice."

fave.... canonical stsg text and all i could ever want from a time-travel fic (the fact that it's not a straight fix-it is even better)
genuinely teared up a bit while reading for Personal Reasons. need to go tell my friends i love them in an ambiguous shounen sun/moon duo way

Summary
Kitty knows the timeline Rachel came from, the timeline that got so bleak that the X-Men resorted to one last desperate measure: go back in time to stop it from happening in the first place. And now, in a future that’s different but the same, Kitty grits her teeth and stares into Rachel’s eyes — that old familiar stubbornness — and says, I want you to send me back.

Summary
The unpacked belongings had been shoved to one side, revealing strange chalk markings on the floor, what looked to Emma’s amateur eye like magic sigils. In the center of the room was a metal folding chair. Rachel knelt next to it, carefully not touching the chalk, looking up at the figure sitting in it, dormant.
Emma blinked. It was Jean. And also it wasn’t.
It was Jean’s body. To Emma’s normal eyes, she looked like she was sleeping, her chest rising and falling peacefully, her lips slightly parted. But to Emma’s mental eye there was a coiling thing where her mind should be. It felt slick and sharp at once, almost oily. Emma didn't get too close.
“You see the problem,” said Scott from where he stood by the door.

absurdly, ridiculously, fantastically pitch-perfect poly lesbian feels. the telepathic imagery here drives me neurodivergent. will likely come back to leave a more coherent and meaningful review, but as it is, i just love this fic. feels like it could be a miniseries unto itself. hellions 2020 who?

Summary
Noted historian and author Xiuying Liu (Elite Power: the White-Collar Paracriminal Lobby, The Yàngbǎn in Việt Nam, 1994-2009) takes an incisive and fearless look at the American military-heroic-industrial complex, and the ways in which emerging parahumanity became entangled with ongoing transformations in capitalism during the tumultuous decade that saw the birth and death of the first parahuman 'heroes.' Charting the development of 'Endbringer diplomacy,' Liu demonstrates unambiguously the ways by which the politics of eternal crisis became the foundation of post-Soviet American hegemony, and how the Protectorate-PRT became the sword and shield of the US State Department. A must-read for anybody who wishes to understand how the unprecedented material forces at play in the last quarter-century have created our unique historical moment.
