If anything’s consistent, it’s surely Lestat’s ability to misread situations, and Louis’ tendency to own a bleeding heart, even at the worst of times.The whole story (or most of it) from the perspective of two outside participants.

When Daniel plays with it, Theo squeals, squirms, and grabs desperately to grab onto his finger. “Now, I may have a helluva head start on you, but you’ll catch up. Lots of people to meet, things to know. No rush. You’ll get there. And some of it’s kind of messed up, so. Maybe for the best I just teach you the basics. Some of those chapters aren’t so nice, and I had a rough few years there in the middle.”
