Portgas’ taunting words rang in Law’s head like a mantra on repeat. On the inside, he was a mess. High blood pressure, loss of breath, faint dizziness, the works. It was like a panic attack meets sugar high meets adrenaline rush. That's exactly what you were: a condition that Law refused to name.
“Thank you,” you whispered.
Law willed the blood roaring in his ears to shut the hell up. He’d fantasized different versions of your voices when he looked at your photo. The real thing was far more dangerous. If you’d said please, Law would’ve given you anything you wanted.
It was ludicrous, how much power you held over Law’s body — meeting for the first time.

Pale blue lips tilted upwards in that slow smirk, knowing looks, the burn of her ruby eyes. Gods, he didn't realize how much he tried to bury this feeling until he was confronted with it.
