In the past two days Bard has smuggled the King under the Mountain into Lake-town, has found himself in the midst of a dragon attack, has then slain said attacking dragon, almost drowned, almost been proclaimed king and has just woken to an Elven army in their makeshift refugee camp.
Now he'd really like to get that simple life back, without stubborn Dwarves, attacking Orcs and the sudden need for diplomacy. He'd also really, really like for everybody to stop calling him Lord of Dale.
However, he wouldn't mind keeping the fabulous Elvenking around who's being so generous with his wine, opinions and turnips.

But hobbits are, in the end, mortal creatures, and even Bilbo was fated to pass away eventually, thus finding himself at the beginning of yet another journey - and reuniting with a person he'd long since given up on ever meeting again.

"Best to come in before they get up their courage," the coachman suggests, with a faint smile and a glance in the direction of the wolves. Will is surprised to hear him speak English, though it is strongly accented and a little hesitant - no one had since the train station, and he has been in two carriages hence. "You'll forgive my empty household," the coachman continues, as if it were his. "I keep few servants, and those I have mostly dismissed save the few I intend to take with me."
It's with a start that Will realizes his coachman is the Count himself.

Set in Victorian England and Romania, this goes from the prompt found here which requested a Dracula-like fic without actual vampires involved. So... we give you Victorian England/Romania based on Dracula and without the vampires.
There is a lot of sex in this. Eventually. We like to take our time.
