The woods were calm and quiet... except for the screaming child. There had been reports of a young human girl from earlier that day, and Belos was so shocked he had to see for himself. He had assumed it couldn't be true, but yet right in front of him, there was a four-year-old human.
She looked scared, which made sense considering the circumstance, so Belos crouched down to her eye level.
"Hello," He said, "My name is Belos, and I'm here to help you. What's your name?"
Through some sobs and sniffles, the little girl squeaked an answer, "Luz."

When Luz was four years old, she fell through a rift and into the Boiling Isles. Luckily, Belos found her and raised her. She spent most of her life looking for a way back to the Human Realm, but now that home is within her grasp; things start taking a turn for the worst. -

Summary
The human was singing. He was chained in this dungeon, same as Runaan, and yet he had the indecency to sing as if he were at the fair. Runaan had been quiet so far. Patiently waiting for death. There was no need to ever interact with the human, no matter how annoying his incomprehensible cheerfulness was. But everyone reached a breaking point.
In which Runaan learns that humans aren't all bad, Gren is too good-hearted to leave Runaan languishing in prison, and two elves and a human have to reckon with past wrongs while falling in love someone they would never have expected.

Summary
Realizing that you don’t care about sex when it’s all your friends care about is a tricky prospect. There’s a temptation to put yourself above them, to convince yourself that you’re simply too mature to be hung up on sex and dating, that you have better things to think about, like your schoolwork or your college applications or your part-time job as a licensed private investigator. That’s easy, because it lets you imagine that one day, when everyone else is as mature as you are, you’ll all care about sex a normal amount and the fact that you’ve never once imagined yourself engaging in it will be irrelevant, because everything will be as it should be.
It’s not true, of course.
