The normal response to your roommate being weird isn’t, “Oh, they must be a supernatural being from the depths of who-knows-where from when-knows-what-time,” but rather, “Wow, my roommate is weird. Can I keep living with them despite this?” And he will stand by that argument until the day he dies (thank you very much, Lumine).

Kaeya kicked Childe under the table, receiving a satisfying “Ouch!!” from the gingerhead. “What the actual fuck, Childe??” he demanded.
Childe winced. “What? I didn’t do anything,” he said innocently, smiling.
Kaeya kicked him again. This time, Childe didn’t react. “Quit the act, simp. I know what you were doing.”
Childe smirked. “So, you caught on. In my defence, I was trying to help you to get the balls to ask Albedo out.”
At this, Kaeya actually choked.

“And why would you bring coffee for me?” She asked with the same suspicion with which she was still looking at the cup of heavenly drink in her hands, which instantly warmed her palms in the chilly London wind.
“Lest you fall asleep on my shoulder and wrinkle my suit, obviously.” Felix replied as if it should’ve been understood even without explanation, and got on the bus, walking past her.
Oh.
Right.
That explains it...
Of course the coffee he brought was just to keep his flawless suit flawless! And how even for a second it could have seemed to her that Felix Fathom – always cold and impartial – was capable of caring for someone other than himself.
