Summary
Hyrule was familiar with the feeling dragging down his bones.
It was a feeling he’d experienced often. Not as badly as this - this was dangerous, he realized through a syrup-thick haze, this meant vulnerability and a lack of awareness that would be terrifying if he were more awake. But he’d felt a lesser version of it many, many times.
As he became slightly more aware, he registered the feeling of fingers carding gently through his hair. There were only eight people he could think of who would do that.
His brothers. He was safe. He would have relaxed, if he’d had the energy to tense up in the first place.
Or: Everyone is okay. Hyrule gets confirmation of that.

They were camped on a scenic cliff that overhung a vast ocean, with waves that sparkled tantalizingly in the distance. Nobody had claimed this world as their own, but Wild had mentioned a similarity to a location in his era. But wherever– whenever, really– they were, it was beautiful, and the weather reflected that.
“‘Rule, catch!” Wild tossed an apple. Bright red and shiny, this hefty fruit had been growing for some time. It was practically begging to be eaten, and here it was, flying through the air to be caught in Hyrule’s waiting hands.
Wild’s expression turned suddenly. “Wait, Hyrule, be careful!” The Champion reached out a hand, but he was far too distant to be of any help. Hyrule, focused on catching the apple, stepped backward off the edge of the cliff, tumbling down toward the dark sea below.

After the events of Tears of the Kingdom, Link [or Wild] is peacefully chilling at his new home in Akkala. When out of nowhere Hylia decides to drop a portal on his nice front lawn. Naturally, he enters and is soon to realize that Hylia sucks at timing multiple portals right, and is constantly behind the Chain. While Wild struggles to catch up, the chain still struggles to cook decent meals, and with the loss of their member, Wild. Follow Wild as he travels through different eras at such a rapid rate that it should be harmful, to try and catch up to the Chain as he learns more about the people each Link cares deeply about.
