Summary
Sue thought she had finally came to terms with her past as a criminal fighter. Sure, it was weird being shunted into a timeline where everyone she knew was different, but she had friends now. An amnesiac raised by her living television, an artist who is more of a superhero than her own buddy monster, a stylish reporter and her shy cameragirl.
Except... Just who are these superscience weirdos calling themselves the Chimera Foundation? And why did they leave her picking through the wreckage of her life once again, with only the help of a Cosmo Dragoon to put the pieces in some order that made sense? What exactly is the newly rediscovered Outer World? And why has her long-gone buddy been haunting her dreams, asking the same question over and over?
It'll take more than just her own skills to solve a mystery spanning two Earths and countless other Worlds. She'll need her friends and everyone's buddies by her side to find out just what Reboot Genesis is.
Mostly set some time after Buddyfight X. Crosses over a little with my earlier fic Karras Academy, though I'm rating this one Teen And Up because it deals with slightly darker themes.

Judai "Yuuna" Yuki knew from a young age she was a girl, no matter what her parents said against that. Yubel taught her how to play Duel Monsters and about their previous life as her Guardian and protector. She's finally on Duel Academy Island, where her parents can't reach her and she's free to be herself. But secrets can only stay secret for so long.
Soon enough though, Yuuna has more than just her own secrets to worry about. Such as but not limited to: Alexis Rhodes hating her guts, Blair Flannigan's secrets and similar issues, the disappearance of Atticus Rhodes, Zane Truesdale also hating her guts, Syrus Truesdale's confidence problems, the fact Jasmine Makurada and Mindy Hamaguchi just can't spit it out, Chazz Princeton being Chazz Princeton, Bastion Misawa being too nosy for his own good, the random shadow games she keeps getting involved in, the island's horrible security that causes too many problems and the world destroying God-like cards under the island.
I'm sure it'll be fine.

It's been several months since the terror of Yamigedo was put to rest. For Gao and his friends, life has returned to normal and peace once again reigns. The Worlds across the cosmos are safe to rebuild and flourish, while new ones emerge from their isolation. Children and adults all around the world can now enjoy Buddyfighting to their heart's content.
Monsters, old and new, reunite with companions long thought forgotten. As myth is turned into fact, the new Worlds are quick to integrate themselves back into society, with no small amount of difficulty. Still, it is a welcome return and life continues as it is wont to do.
So peaceful was this period in time that no one would expect a new terror to arise in its place, to threaten the peace of the universe…
