Summary

He kept going to confession, finding, making up new sins. Just to hear Will’s voice. So similar to the kid he remembered, but also different, deeper, caring, compassionate. All he could think was how he wanted to do every bad thing, and then tell it in a whisper through the grate.
Hear what his punishment was. Hear Will Byers give him his punishment.
Once he stayed, later than he should. Helped Will lock the old stone building, watching the sun dive through the stained glass, squares of blood red on the pews. Then they sat outside, not touching, hours, until the stars came out. He told Will more bad things. Not things he did. Things he wanted to do. To him.
