Summary
Something goes wrong. The crown is split during Narinder's defeat, splitting the power between him and the Lamb.
Narinder keeps a portion of his godhood, and the Lamb finds that abilities they had access to before are no longer possible: Healing is cut short. Powers are halved. And there is a very real chance of permadeath, as the ability to resurrect is not possible without full power, and the God of Death is not cooperative.
Afterlife and Purgatory are not options either. Dying means erasure. Gone.Lambert knows Narinder grows stronger by the day, crown or not, and yet keeps him spared as they try to figure out how to complete their own goals. Narinder vows vengeance on the lamb for usurping him. After a few unsuccessful murder attempts, he's in for the long haul. It is only a matter of time before the Lamb's guard is down before he can strike, and The One Who Waits is very patient. When a mystic being demands they save the bishops from purgatory, an alliance is in order.
Except...the lamb's actions and their presence begin to unlock abilities within the God of Death he didn't know he had prior to his imprisonment, among other fickle things, like emotions. The prophecy didn't warn him of that part.

Summary
That day marked two lasts that Dimitri could remember. One of them being the last time he saw Viktor. His parents must’ve decided that a life of seclusion wasn’t the best for a child—obviously caring for him much more than Dimitri’s father did—and moved out of their little ranch a few miles down that dirt road.
He missed the little boy's presence, he was the only one Dimitri got to play with, even if that play was just farm work. But over time his life became more burdened and he was quickly forced to forget about the want for friends.
The second thing that day marked the end of was his mother being able to leave the house on her own.

Or, Dimitri (protag) and Viktor (humantruder) are childhood friends until they are forced to separate. They later get an opportunity to rekindle their relationship when Viktor, now an ex-cop, comes to work on Dimitri's father's farm for the winter.

Dimitri lived on the outskirts, in a weathered farmhouse inherited from his father. Born to Russian immigrants who’d fled their home in the east only to find new hardships in the west, he found comfort in solitude.
His diagnosis of dementia praecox (schizophrenia) spared him from the front lines, but it also left him with the shame of being labeled réformé, fully exempt from service.
Now, haunted by hallucinations and grief, he finds his solitude disrupted by a sudden influx of refugees and a strange creature who seems to have developed a taste for him.

As though he was pulled back to his feet by a lambent messenger of God, he befriends an individual no short from a caring doe to show him that there is much more to life than bearing sorrow. Viktor's real test on this feeble earth, then, is to maintain what he has been benevolently given.

Summary
When times are tough and things seem at a loss, Alexei (the renowned hermit and sole homeowner), takes it upon himself to end his suffering through traversing the apocalyptic landscape of his once mundane world. His goal is death, but along the way, he ends up striking a deal with the very being he swore to escape. And by the looks of it, he's not planning on letting his life slip by anytime soon.
Simply: A palegun fic where the protagonist forces himself outside while the pale guy guards him. He's sad, he's depressed, but hey he won't be alone for long thanks to this creepy visitor who follows him around like a watch dog.
