This is a rewrite of GoT S7 and up because I'm still bitter about it and because House of the Dragon keeps hyping up the dead when we already know how that ends.

Summary
Nothing is going the way it’s supposed to.
It’s the summer of 1986 and on separate sides of the country, four teenagers are finally able to leave their small-minded towns after graduating and embark on a summer-long cross country road trip.
In Maine, Todd Anderson’s best friend Knox Overstreet forces him on a trip to finally get him “out of his shell” once and for all. Meanwhile, in California, Charlie Dalton and Neil Perry attempt to make a great escape from their homophobic parents to seek refuge in New York City. But, when both trips inevitably go to hell and they are all thrown into each other's paths, it might just be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Knox spots one of the new neighbours first and hates him. Todd doesn't think he's too bad and they don't even know him yet.
Charlie tries his best to make a good first impression to the guys owning the flower shop and miserably fails. Neil is glad they chose this place to open the studio and the wonderful neighbors are a nice extra.or: Charlie and Neil move in next doors with their new tattoo studio and they manage to become friends despite Knox' hostility. Just some happy life stuff with a bit of drama

As Neil fixed his tie in the bathroom mirror, pulling it so tight he was half-certain he'd asphyxiate before the night closed, he seriously regretted telling his father about Knox's connection to the Danburry's. Or, more specifically, Knox’s connection to one Dr. Danburry.
Alternatively;
Neil has a dinner scheduled with the Danburry's that he is absolutely not looking forward to. Little does he know that the dinner will have an extra guest attending—a "friend" of Ginny's from school, with sandy-blonde hair, powder blue eyes, and a notebook clutched to his chest.
