Based on i-have-zero-chill's prompt on tumbrl: So like HYPOTHETICALLY if they were to make Bucky bi... which they WON’T but IF THEY DID... I think it would be really funny if he, Sam, and Sharon were in a situation where he had to flirt with a dude in order to get something they need. I can’t think of a scenario that would call for that right now but maybe he picks up on the fact that the dude is gay and when Sharon is like “I’ll go flirt with him” Bucky just says, “yeah that’s not gonna work I got this.” And Sam and Sharon are super confused before they realize exactly what’s happening and they’re just shook at how smooth Bucky is being with the guy. So Bucky comes back over to them and they’re like “the fuck was that?” and he’s like “what, I’m 106, I’m not dead.” And of course in an ideal world the camera would cut to Sam’s face with an expression of pure gay panic on it.

Summary
Bucky has always taken up really weird jobs. Once he was a mascot and got beaten up by twelve year olds regularly, he also worked at a camp for a while doing maintenance and not once but twice some kid shit in the shower. He once wrote Hallmark card sayings for a while, which led to writing fortunes for fortune cookies. Bucky eventually left that job to be a professional pet cuddler, which led to him somehow finding his way into professional human cuddling, which he left quickly because he was paid to be the big spoon, not someone’s therapist. His time as a bed warmer was the most fun though.
So Bucky was more than used to a little bit of strangeness to his jobs- that hardly meant he was prepared for his job working for Tony Stark.

Slowly, the Americans become complacent and they start to make mistakes. Mistakes become habits, and soon the Soldier finds HYDRA’s control over him slipping. Eventually, he discovers the strength to make a decision. So he bides his time and waits for the perfect opportunity when a single choice could make a difference. That opportunity comes in the form of a trio of Director Fury’s most capable agents, and that choice ends up being to form an alliance to take down Project: Insight.

The Winter Soldier, or Yasha as he now prefers to be called, has broken the Rules. He has joined the Avengers and started to claw back pieces of himself while learning what it means to be free. She thinks about that sometimes and the laughter borders on hysteria. She remembers Michael’s face and his scepticism and the resignation that he had only ever shown to a handful of people, like he’d already known he would never come home again. A second generation lost on the battlefields of a world gone mad.
There’s a figure leaning against one of the wooden supports, red glow of a cigarette and the collar of his battered greatcoat turned up against the chill and Peggy hesitates for a moment. Without his distinctive blue jacket he could be just any other soldier in the camp.
Cigarette raised to his lips with an easy grace and even from the distance between them she can see the steely blue-grey of his eyes.
All right, maybe not just any other soldier.
Peggy walks towards him. ‘Sergeant Barnes.’
