Summary

Whipping her gun arm up, Peggy trained her sights on the—man, she identified—on the ground. Breathing heavily, he quickly leapt to his feet and whirled around, a knife suddenly appearing in his grip.
While his clothing was odd and unfamiliar, his face was known to her.

Steve always had a high tolerance to pain. He had several chronic illnesses, and he got beat up a lot, so he’s good at dealing with being hurt. And then he got the Super Soldier Serum, and not only did all his illnesses go away, but he now also has an even higher pain tolerance due to the serum magnifying things. So, he’s able to fight in a war without any risk to himself. But, there is something that he always thinks about whenever he and his team go on a mission, the fact that he is the only one who has the serum. So, he makes sure nobody else gets hurt. He should be able to protect everyone. But, sometimes things just happen and you can’t do anything about it. Luckily, people are there to talk to.

Mostly, I hate myself. 83 years I've left it waiting. Left her, waiting.
